David had 9 cookies in his jar. After 2 days, he found that the same amount of cookies were stolen each day. Because the cookies were getting stolen, David decided to invite 6 of his friends to equally share the remaining cookies. David had some cookies left after sharing with his friends. How many cookies were stolen from David’s cookie jar?

  2. The question is functional but it is a little confusing. There are no grammatical mistakes and it is easy to solve. The story is very boring. I would not use this in a word problem because it is too easy to solve and it is not possible to have an answer that is larger than 1.

This is a very good question. It's easy to understand and it's a great real-life example. The only part we have a problem is where you guys say that 6 of his friend eat the equal amount of cookies. We think that you should change it to: 6 of his friends and himself equally share the remaining cookies. Also we think that the last to sentences should be taken out and replaced by: After sharing the cookies with his friends and himself, there was the equal amount of cookies left as the number stolen each day. How many cookies are left?

Grammar: The sentences change from past tense->present tense->past tense

  4. Yes, it is functional but it was sort of figure out the part about 7 people because you invited 6 friends. So please put the words including David.

It wasn’t confusing except the part about 6 friends which i mentioned before. So again put the words including David please..

No, I couldn’t detect any grammar mistakes.

The story is sort of boring so add more detail and make the story a little more complicated so it would be a challenge.

Sorry the only good part was it’s function, so make it better :)
